Last year, in the aftermath of An Inconvenient Truth, Watson decided to cut his carbon footprint, and not only that he tried to get lots of people to join him. In a ridiculous turn of fate this enthusiasm was mistaken for expertise and it all became a bit awkward, particularly when the Australian Conservation Foundation fixed it for him to meet fellow amateur campaigner, Al Gore, but also rather cool...

Mark would like to invite all alumni to the launch party of his book in London on Friday 13 June. The book, due to be Radio 4's 'Book of the Week' in July, details Mark’s efforts to reduce his carbon footprint, and the ecologically-themed launch party will be held in Regent’s Park from 6 pm.
